SONOMA, Calif. – Sonoma Raceway will continue its long tradition of motorcycle racing with five days of two-wheel action slated for its scenic venue, May 1-5.
The raceway has worked with the American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM), American Historic Racing Motorcycle Ass’n (AHRMA), Supermoto USA and 3J’s Track Days to carry on the history of a Spring motorcycle weekend in the Sonoma Valley.
Sonomafest 2013 will feature plenty of on-track action on the 12-turn road course, as well as a charity track day, group motorcycle ride and Supermoto racing.
The 18th 3J’s Motorcycle Track Day will kick off the festivities with a full day of riding on the 12-turn road course, a catered lunch, T-shirt, raffle and an evening reception for all riders on Wednesday, May 1.
It’s the perfect day for any two-wheel enthusiast, and it’s all in the name of charity, as proceeds benefit Speedway Children’s Charities, the charitable arm of Sonoma Raceway. 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days events have raised more than $275,000 for worthy causes since 2003.
AHRMA, the largest vintage racing group in the country, returns to Sonoma Raceway after an 11-year hiatus for two full days of vintage motorcycle racing, May 2-3. The National Historic Cup Road Race Series will feature nearly 250 entries, with practice and racing slated for both Thursday and Friday.
