Miller Leads Ducati Sweep In Doha G.P. Practice

DOHA, Qatar – Ducati’s Jack Miller led a top-three sweep for the Italian manufacturer during practice for the MotoGP Doha Grand Prix on Friday at Losail Int’l Circuit.

Miller lapped the 3.343-mile, 16-turn circuit in 1:53.145 during the closing moments of the second and final session of the day on one of the two factory Ducati entries.

His teammate, Francesco Bagnaia, ended up second.

“I’m delighted with the feeling I’ve had with the bike this evening. In my first time attack attempt, I was really pushing hard, and I had a little bit of a moment,” Miller noted. “Luckily I managed not to crash, and I went back quickly on track and set a good lap time that I am really content with. I think we still have room for improving tomorrow evening, and as always, I will give my best in qualifying.”

Pramac Racing’s Johann Zarco was third for the day, also on a Ducati bike, followed by Monster Energy Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo and the second Pramac Racing bike of rookie Jorge Martin.

Aprilia Racing Team Gresini’s Aleix Espargaro, Petronas Yamaha SRT’s Franco Morbidelli, Team Suzuki Ecstar’s Alex Rins, the second factory Yamaha bike of Maverick Viñales and Repsol Honda’s Stefan Bradl closed the top 10.
