Espargaro Fastest In Austrian MotoGP Practice

SPIELBERG, Austria – Pol Espargaro topped the MotoGP practice charts Friday on the opening day of practice for the Grand Prix of Styria at the Red Bull Ring.

Espargaro laid down the fastest lap of the day during the second round of practice, setting a 1:23.638 in the late stages for the Red Bull KTM team to top the combined charts by two tenths of Pramac Racing’s Jack Miller.

Andrea Dovizioso, fresh off his victory last weekend at the Red Bull Ring for Ducati, was third fastest thanks to a fast lap during the opening practice of the day.

Miguel Oliveira, the second Red Bull KTM rider, was fourth fastest overall ahead of LCR Honda’s Takaaki Nakagami.

Suzuki’s Joan Mir and Alex Rins were sixth and seventh, followed by Maverick Viñales, Franco Morbidelli and Brad Binder.
