DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – With an American Flat Track contingency offering from Ducati of more than $180,000 for the new season, what was already the largest contingency pool in the history of the sport has now surpassed the $2 million mark.
“The American Flat Track series continues to gain both strength and pace,” says Michael Lock, CEO of American Flat Track. “Support in 2018 for our paddock from Ducati, a world-class racing organization, is a testament to how important AFT is becoming to the motorcycle industry as a whole.”
Ducati’s contingency offering for the AFT Twins presented by Vance & Hines division will total $180,100 for the 2018 season, including a $10,000 for a championship win.
To be eligible for Ducati contingency monies, teams must utilize the 821cc twin-cylinder engine that served as the powerplant for Ducati’s 2015-2018 Monster and 2013-2015 Hypermotard models.
