CORONA, Calif. – On the eve of the inaugural Monster Energy World Speedway Invitational, the international field of the world’s fastest riders were introduced to the media before taking to the track for an exclusive practice session on the eighth-mile of Industry Racing’s Grand Arena track.
Following weeks of anticipation, the official start of the biggest event on U.S. soil in over 20 years is now mere hours away. The practice session allowed riders to familiarize themselves with the technical layout of Industry Racing, preparing their motorcycles for the 23 events scheduled on Saturday night.
Those taking part in the historic event include Billy Yarrow, Charlie Venegas, Billy Janniro, Billy Hamill, Fedrik Lindgren, Ricky Wells, Jimmy Fishback, Hans Andersen, Scott Nicholls, Antonio Lindback, Edward Kennett, Grad Hancock, Gino Manzares, Tyson Burmeister, Jaciej Janowski, Tomasz Gollob, Austin Novratil and Rocco Scopellite.
In addition to the star-studded field of professional riders, the young amateur competitors that will compose the Mini 150cc and Junior 250cc classes also got their chance to turn some laps.
Events for the Monster Energy World Speedway Invitational begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night under the covered roof of The Grand Arena. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the Industry Racing Box Office beginning at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at $23 for Adults and $15 for Juniors and Seniors. All kids under 12 are free with adult admission. Parking is $5 with motorcycle parking free of charge.
