AURORA, Ill. – Feld Motor Sports announced today that AMSOIL, based in Superior, Wis., signed on to be the official and exclusive oil of the 2012 Monster Energy Cup, which takes place at Sam Boyd Stadium on Oct. 20.
The 2012 Monster Energy Cup marks AMSOIL’s first year as the official oil of the lucrative event, which posts a purse of $1 million. AMSOIL, an industry leader in synthetic lubrication technology, first began sponsoring motorcycle racing in 1999 and currently serves as the official and exclusive oil of the widely popular Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, and the AMA Arenacross Series.
“Partnering up with the Monster Energy Cup is a great opportunity for AMSOIL,” said AMSOIL Race Program Manager Jeremy Meyer. “It is a high-level production and perfect tie-in to our on-going partnerships with Feld Motor Sports in both supercross and arenacross.”
In addition to signing on as the official and exclusive oil of the Monster Energy Cup, AMSOIL steps in as the name-in-title sponsor for the “AMSOIL Mechanics Area”, a highly visible track feature that allows mechanics to communicate with riders during each lap.
During the pit party festivities, AMSOIL specialists will be on-hand showcasing their industry-leading lubricants and interactive displays to the thousands of fans. AMSOIL’s current product line will also be featured during the live SPEED TV broadcast of the Monster Energy Cup.
“We are excited to welcome AMSOIL as the official and exclusive oil partner of the Monster Energy Cup,” said Todd Jendro, vice president of two-wheel operations, Feld Motor Sports. “Their emerging commitment to world of motorcycle racing continues to evolve and we are honored to have them part of this prestigious event.”
