Two top Monster Energy Supercross competitors will miss the final two races.
Mike Alessi and the MotoConcepts Racing team will skip the final two rounds of the Monster Energy Supercross season to prepare for the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship, which begins in mid May.
Instead, the team will dedicate its time to testing in preparation for the Motocross opening Hangtown Classic in Sacramento, Calif., May 18.
Meanwhile, Matt Goerke, who was in the midst of a break out season, crashed while testing April 16 and will miss the final two events as well as the beginning of the Motocross season.
Goerke had surgery to repair a dislocated wrist. He is expected to miss the first four rounds of the Motocross season.
