GROSSE POINTE SHORES, Mich. – William Clay Ford Sr., the last surviving grandson of Ford founder Henry Ford, died Sunday at his home. He was 88.
After graduating from college Ford worked for the Ford Motor Company and was briefly in charge of the short lived Continental Division. He was a member of Ford Motor Company’s board of directors before retiring in May of 2005.
Ford was also the owner and chairman of the National Football League’s Detroit Lions and remained so until his death.
