The resiliency of the motorsports industry was on full display during 2020 as the coronavirus pandemic produced a new normal for people around the world.
Following a brief shutdown in the spring, racing was able to resume in certain parts of the country. Through all the restrictions and regulations intended to slow the spread of COVID-19, races were run and champions were crowned as the industry found unique and innovative ways to present its high-speed form of entertainment.
Keeping with that spirit, we continue a SPEED SPORT tradition that dates back nearly four decades by examining 10 stories — besides the virus — that had a significant impact on the sport during the course of the season.
