INDIANAPOLIS – The exhilarating world of Quarter-Scale Auto Club radio control racing is taking a new turn of the wheel in 2013.
WCM, the originator of the sport, has become the title sponsor for the QSAC National Championship Series. The series will now be known as the QSAC National Championship Series presented by WCM. WCM is the oldest and largest builder of Quarter Scale Race cars in the world.
This evolving motorsport, consisting of concise skill and keen insight brings with it today a feeling of accomplishment that’s unlike any other form of radio control racing. Real race cars, real set up challenges, real driving skill and real racing with yellow flags, and restarts set Quarter Scale Racing apart from any other form of Radio Control racing. This is a true international sport with a huge following in Australia, New Zealand and as far flung as South Africa.
For this year, the schedule has grown with more contestants participating in races nationwide. Quarter Scale Racing is the best bang for the buck in all of motorsports, races are held on oval tracks in all parts of the country on both dirt and pavement with classes for both Pros and beginners. With race day expenses in the tens of dollars instead of the thousands, Quarter Scale Racing is accessible to every race fan.
The six-race national event schedule takes the best of the QSAC racers to the limit of competition with five categories of cars, Sportsman, Limited Sportsman (Novice class), Super Truck, Super Late Model and Winged Sprint Car, offer these racers a perfect opportunity to display their driving, building and set up talents.
With the first race of the season in the books concluding in Marana, AZ, the next event on the WCM QSAC schedule will be at the DFW Speedway in Burleson, Texas, on May 24-25.
