Salon Privé Opens With 30-Mile Tour


LONDON – Salon Privé London 2013 saw its second Chubb Insurance Tour d’Elégance officially open the UK’s premier boutique automotive event on Tuesday.

A collection of 50 stunning super cars from 1928 to the present day embarked on the 30-mile tour from the Royal Automobile Club at Woodcote Park, taking in Mercedes-Benz World, the historic Brooklands circuit and museum, Hampton Court and Bushy Park before arriving at the home of Salon Privé, Syon Park.

Hundreds of spectators and media turned up at Mercedes-Benz World and Brooklands to greet the spectacular convoy.

Salon Privé 2013 officially opens to the public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Syon Park, with more to offer than ever before, including the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance (Wednesday), Boodles Ladies’ Day (Thursday), The Royal College of Art ‘Concours of the Future’ design exhibition (Thursday), Audemars Piguet British Super Car Day (Friday), EFG Private Bank Art & Memorabilia Fair (every day), Luxury Retail Village (every day) and much more open to all guests from Sept. 4-6 at Syon Park.
