INDIANAPOLIS – Juncos Racing has announced the addition of R. Nate Aranda to their Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires team.
Aranda will pilot the No. 69 CRAFT 1861 entry in a three-car effort for the reigning Indy Pro 2000 champions.
The Albuquerque, N.M., native made his debut in the Road to Indy series during the 2019 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship season opener on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla. Aranda also competed in the 2019 Lucas Oil Winter Series at Laguna Seca, earning two top fives and one podium, and recorded one of the fastest race laps. In 2018 Aranda finished fifth in the Lucas Oil School Formula Car Race Series claiming one win, one pole, and four podium finishes, one fastest race lap and six top fives.
“Love is my mantra and I love being a race car driver,” said Aranda. “Even up to the last minute while in contract negotiations with Juncos Racing, their passion for racing, winning and love for the sport was very evident and that’s the moment when I knew I had found the right team. I am excited to be part of a winning team with Juncos Racing and looking forward to a successful race season with my teammates and all my fellow Road to Indy drivers. I can’t help mentioning my heartfelt compassion for the entire World and our Country during these uncertain times and I remain hopeful that we as humankind will continue to come together and persevere – United. I am so grateful and blessed everyday being able to pursue my dreams behind the wheel due to my supporters, sponsors and advocates – mucho love!”
Aranda will be teamed up with Indy Pro 2000 veteran, Sting Ray Robb and Artem Petrov. Aranda will also be surrounded by the same key individuals that helped make Juncos Racing the 2019 Indy Pro 2000 team champions.
“We are very happy to announce Nate Aranda has joined our talented Indy Pro 2000 line-up,” said Team Owner Ricardo Juncos. “Nate has developed a great chemistry with our team since we began testing with him in late February. He has an incredible drive and passion on and off track, so I am confident he will be successful this season. Thank you to Nate, his family, sponsors and partners for this exciting opportunity to build a long relationship.”
