De Alba Joins Exclusive Autosport For USF Pro 2000 Run

BROWNSBURG, Ind. – Exclusive Autosport has signed Salvador de Alba to their USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires stable for this season.

The 2021 NASCAR Peak Mexico Series champion made the move to the open-wheel world in 2022 to run a full season of USF Pro 2000 where he earned two wins, one pole, four podiums, and six top-five finishes, finishing eighth in the championship.

While racing in the USF Pro Championships Presented by Cooper Tires season, de Alba continued to run the NASCAR Mexico Series, finishing fifth in the championship with one win, five top-fives, and 10 top-10s.

De Alba will run the No. 91 Archandel, Red Cola Tatuus IP-22 with his additional sponsor of Z Motors.

“First of all, I’m thrilled to continue racing in the USA,” de Alba said. “I am thankful that I have sponsors that believe in this project. I feel way more prepared, now that I know almost all the tracks that we are racing at this season! In addition, I would like to thank the Exclusive Autosport team, and I will do my very best to put the Archandel and Red Cola car on top of the chart.”

De Alba’s signing brings the Exclusive Autosport USF Pro 2000 squad up to four full-season drivers as de Alba will join his already-announced teammates Lindsay Brewer, Joel Granfors, and  Yuven Sundaramoorthy in the team’s quest for a championship.

“Salvador did an incredible job last season and was always a threat on-track,” said Exclusive Autosport owner Michael Duncalfe. “He is incredibly humble and soft spoken off the track and I have a lot of respect for Salvador. I am very excited to have him compete with Exclusive Autosport in 2023 and I’m looking forward to kicking off the season in a few weeks in St. Petersburg.”
