MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Team Penske and EnerSys), the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, announced a multi-year extension of their successful sponsorship arrangement.
EnerSys will continue to partner as a key sponsor for the team’s championship-winning NTT IndyCar Series program.
The EnerSys high-performance brand, ODYSSEY battery, will continue to be featured as a primary partner for multiple races on the No. 3 Chevrolet driven by six-time winner Scott McLaughlin.
The New Zealander took the ODYSSEY® battery colors to victory lane at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in July of 2022 — his second series triumph.
“I’m excited to have ODYSSEY® battery continuing on the No. 3 Chevrolet into the future,” said McLaughlin. “It’s a beautiful paint scheme that has been very successful for us. Getting my second IndyCar win in their colors at Mid-Ohio was cool and I know we will have more success in the future.”
EnerSys first joined Team Penske in 2014 as an associate partner across the team’s NASCAR and IndyCar programs.
In addition, EnerSys will continue as an associate sponsor on Team Penske’s three NASCAR Cup Series entries driven by Austin Cindric, Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano.
“It is hard to believe that we have already been together with EnerSys for over a decade,” said Team Penske President Tim Cindric. “We are really excited to see this relationship continue as we have built a great foundation together on and off the race track.”
