David Brown, a seasoned veteran with over four decades of experience in motorsport, has joined Juncos Hollinger Racing as a Technical Director for the upcoming NTT IndyCar Series season.
Known for his exceptional engineering expertise and leadership across multiple racing series, Brown’s move to Juncos Hollinger Racing marks a significant milestone in both his career and the team’s pursuit of excellence in the series. Brown assumes this role as Yves Touron departs JHR, leaving behind an impressive legacy of contributions to the team.
“I believe the wealth of knowledge and perspective that David brings will help us fight our way up the grid during the 2025 IndyCar season,” expressed Ricardo Juncos, Co-Owner and Founder of JHR. “I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the incredible contributions that Yves Touron has made to JHR.
“His expertise and professionalism have been truly unparalleled. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
“I’m excited to welcome David to Juncos Hollinger Racing. His presence reinforces our commitment to continued advancement on the technical side of the team,” Brad Hollinger, co-owner of JHR, added. “His vast experience in F-1, as well as other forms of motorsport, will benefit the team from day one. I also want to thank Yves for his significant contributions to JHR and wish him a fulfilling and prosperous future.”
Brown’s journey in motorsports began in 1981 when he joined the prestigious Williams Grand Prix Team. Over the years, he became one of the most respected race engineers in Formula 1, playing pivotal roles with top drivers such as Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill, David Coulthard and Ayrton Senna.
He also spent time at McLaren and Jordan F-1 before expanding his career into sports car racing, where he worked in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) and IMSA.
Despite his success in multiple motorsport series, Brown’s passion for open-wheel racing has remained steadfast. As Technical Director at JHR, he will oversee all aspects of the team’s technical development, working closely with the engineering staff, drivers, and management. Brown’s deep experience in F-1 development makes him an ideal leader to help JHR continue its upward trajectory.
“I’m delighted to accept this opportunity and look forward to working with the team,” Brown said. “The NTT IndyCar Series is fiercely competitive, and it’s a challenge I am ready to embrace.”
