INDIANAPOLIS – Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing (SFHR) recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, and Direct Supply, a sponsor who has been with the team since its inception, has re-signed to sponsor the team in 2013.
Direct Supply will be an associate sponsor with SFHR for all IZOD IndyCar Series races in 2013 excluding the Milwaukee IndyFest, where it will increase its support to serve as primary sponsor.
The Milwaukee-based company is the nation’s leading provider of equipment, eCommerce and service solutions to the Senior Living profession.
“Direct Supply has been with us since the very beginning, and as our longest standing sponsor, continues to support us through thick and thin,” said Sarah Fisher, co-owner of SFHR. “We are very honored to call the Direct Supply team an extension of the SFHR family and look forward to continuing the build of a founding relationship.”
Direct Supply founder and CEO Bob Hillis was originally attracted to Fisher’s race team because she was the first female owner/driver in IndyCar history.
“When we first started working with Sarah the team was small and family oriented, and we wanted to help an entrepreneur succeed,” Hillis said. “The addition of Wink Hartman as a co-owner has been a huge boost, and the whole team has made Direct Supply part of their family. We are proud of the team and their driver Josef Newgarden.”
Over the course of its involvement with SFHR since 2008, Direct Supply has seen SFHR capture its first IZOD IndyCar Series win in 2011 at Kentucky Speedway and grow from six to 22 employees.
“It’s a lot of fun and rewarding to be associated with – and close friends of – such committed, talented and nice people,” Hillis said.
