NEW ORLEANS – ArmsUp Motorsports has announced the addition of American Aaron Telitz as the third driver to the team for the 2014 season of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda.
Telitz will represent sponsor Rice Lake Weighing Systems and compete alongside fellow American Peter Portante and Canadian James Dayson.
“I couldn’t be more excited to get my season underway with ArmsUp Motorsports,” said Telitz. “I mesh well with all the guys on the team, and I know we’ll have a lot of fun and success this year! We have everything in place to contend and win the championship.”
Telitz started his racing career at the age of seven, racing go karts, and made the transition to open wheel cars in 2011, winning a $20,000 scholarship in the Skip Barber Karting Scholarship Shootout. The scholarship helped fund his first season in open wheel racing in the Skip Barber Winter Series, where he earned a second place in the championship. In 2013, he competed in the F16000 Championship Series, finishing third in the championship.
In 2013, he once again competed in and win the Skip Barber Championship Shootout, earning a $200,000 Mazda Scholarship which moved him up to the first step in the Mazda Road to Indy, the USF2000 Championship.
