PITTSBORO, Ind. – Canadian Mikael Grenier will join Team Moore Racing for the Chris Griffis Memorial Test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Oct. 10-11.
Grenier joined TMR for a single event in the 2011 season and the team is looking forward to working with the 19-year-old once again. Grenier is a graduate of the Star Mazda Championship Series and competed in five Firestone Indy Lights races in 2011.
“First of all, I would like to thank April Superflo and Team Moore Racing for this opportunity at the upcoming test,” said Grenier. “I worked with TMR last year at Trois Rivieres and we all enjoyed working together. 2012 did not turn out the way I wanted and I had to sit home for quite a bit. But, I stayed in contact with Mark Moore all season and now that things are looking more positive for next season I think it’s a great opportunity for us to start working together again.”
“Everyone here at Team Moore Racing is excited to have Mikael in one of our cars for the upcoming Indy Road Course test,” said team owner Mark Moore. “Mikael brings a lot of genuine enthusiasm and raw speed. We are working very hard to have him compete for us full-time in the 2013 Indy Lights Championship. Mikael has everything a team wants: he is fast, has great feedback and is a pleasure to work with.”
