GREATER NOIDA, India – Red Bull began to tighten their grip on the Indian Grand Prix on Friday afternoon as Sebastian Vettel paced both Formula One practice sessions at the Buddh Int’l Circuit.
Vettel paced the opening session with a fast lap of 1:27.619 and followed that up by leading the second session with the faster time of 1:26.221.
Closely following his Red Bull teammate, Mark Webber was second fastest in the second practice at 1:26.339. Fernando Alonso, who is second in the Formula One standings to Vettel, was third in the second practice.
Nico Rosberg and Kimi Raikkonen were fourth and fifth in practice two.
In practice one, Jenson Button timed second behind Vettel at 1:27.929. Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and Webber gave chase.
