No Problem Raceway Next For X-DRL


KERRVILLE, Texas – The new X-treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) takes its inaugural season South for its third event as the X-DRL prepares for its first appearance at No Problem Raceway for the Bash On The Bayou on May 17-18 in Belle Rose, La.

This highly-anticipated event will give fans the first look at the action-packed X-DRL, which features many of the top professional doorslammer and Pro Modified drivers in the world as well as nine exciting professional classes (Pro Junior Dragster, Supercar Showdown, Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, X-treme Pro Mod, Precision Turbo & Engine Pro Turbo, X-treme Pro Stock, Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and Pro X-treme, the world’s quickest and fastest doorslammer class).

These classes will provide non-stop action over the two days, with cars going as quick as 3.60 seconds in the eighth-mile at more than 210 mph.

Qualifying for the “X-treme Shootout” for the Pro X-treme, Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and X-treme Pro Stock classes will also take place at this event. This shootout will award each class $25,000 ($75,000 overall) and to qualify for the eight-car “X-Treme Shootout,” drivers in PX, PN and XPS must be a top eight points earner at the upcoming X-DRL Bash On The Bayou. The “X-treme Shootout” will then take place in September as part of the Thunder In The Heartland in Indianapolis.

Winners of the “X-treme Shootout” in all three classes will earn $10,000 in addition to the regular purse at the event. If a driver wins both the “X-treme Shootout” and the Thunder In The Heartland event in their respective class, the X-DRL also announced it will award that driver an additional $5,000 double-up bonus.

In all, a driver in PX, PN, XPS could win $21,000 should they win both the eight-car shootout and event.

General admission tickets for Bash On The Bayou can be purchased for $25 per day. A special two-day, full event can also be purchased for just $45, enabling fans to enjoy the full Friday and Saturday X-DRL experience.

Parking will also be free for race fans. All children 12-under are admitted free as well.
