NMRA Back At Summit Motorsports Park In 2021

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Holley NMRA Ford Nationals will return to Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, the weekend of June 10-13, 2021.

Summit Motorsports Park signed a five-year contract with ProMedia Events & Publishing to host the Ford-only event at the facility.

“Summit Motorsports Park is one of the premier drag racing facilities in the world, so we jumped at the opportunity to bring the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals back there next season. It’s exciting to add a second stop there because we work really well with Bill Bader and his group with our successful NMCA event that normally runs in August,” said Rollie Miller, General Manager and National Event Director at the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals. “Our team is already working on new programs that will be exclusive to the NMRA event at Summit Motorsports Park giving Ford racers and fans a fun and unique stop on the tour.”

Bringing the NMRA back to Summit Motorsports Park is equally satisfying for Bill Bader, president and owner of the facility.

“I’m thrilled to be the new forever home of ProMedia’s industry-leading NMRA Ford Nationals. Summit Motorsports Park is 119 miles from the Motor City (Detroit, Mich.) and has a rich tradition with hosting large Ford-only events,” said Bader. “We look forward to 2021 and rolling out the blue oval carpet to the Ford community.”

Adding Summit Motorsports Park to the 2021 Holley NMRA Ford Nationals reveals four events for the six-race series. The largest Ford motorsport event series begins its 2021 campaign with the Spring Break Shootout at Bradenton Motorsports Park (Bradenton, Fla.) March 4-7, 2021. The series moves north to Commerce, Ga. at Atlanta Dragway for the NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals April 8-11, 2021.

The traveling Ford festival makes its way to the doorstep of the West as it stops in Madison, Illinois, just outside of St. Louis and under the shadow of the Gateway Arch for the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing May 13-16, 2021. Nearly a month later the Ford series splits from its NMCA sister organization for its return to Summit Motorsports Park over the weekend of June 10-13, 2021.
