Sensata Technologies Joins Justin Ashley Racing

IRVINE, Calif. – Phillips Connect, along with Sensata Technologies will join the Justin Ashley Racing team as a sponsor for the remainder of the 2022 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season.

Drag racing has evolved dramatically over the last decade with racers looking to their team for data insights about the vehicle’s performance that could give them an edge on the track. As innovators in their respective industries, Phillips Connect and Sensata Technologies will take their growth initiatives to higher speeds.

“We are excited to welcome Sensata Technologies to the Phillips Connect Justin Ashley racing family,” said Jim Epler, EVP of Phillips Connect. “Being part of the team encourages open dialog and new innovations, so our mutual customers can benefit from the knowledge.”

“Sensata is thrilled to join the Phillips Connect NHRA team as a key partner,” said Shawn Aleman, Vice President and General Manager of Sensata Technologies. “This is an opportunity to showcase solutions across vehicle monitoring, controls and analytics while applying the insights gained on the track to new products, improving the safety of drivers and vehicle performance for customers on the street.”

Phillips Connect has developed a tech trailer fully equipped with the latest in vehicle and asset monitoring products. This trailer will follow the 2022 NHRA race circuit and make stops along the way to bring the latest product innovations physically to its customers.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Sensata Technologies,” said Justin Ashley, three-time Top Fuel national event winner. “Since the beginning of our relationship with Phillips Connect, the importance of Sensata’s innovative, informative, and well-engineered solutions became clear. Just like the sensors on our Phillips Connect Top Fuel dragster provide our team with invaluable insights, Sensata’s technology does the same for businesses. The team and I are looking forward to further introducing Sensata to the NHRA community.”
