Race two of the NHRA Countdown to the Championship is in the books following Sunday’s NHRA Carolina Nationals at North Carolina’s zMAX Dragway.
Austin Prock (Funny Car), Antron Brown (Top Fuel), Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) picked up victories.
Here’s where the standings stand heading into round three of the Countdown this weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Ill.:
Funny Car
Austin Prock’s dominant season continued on Sunday as Prock notched win No. 7 for John Force Racing after taking out defending champion Matt Hagan in the finals.
It was Prock’s third straight victory dating back to the U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on Labor Day.
With the win, Prock is now 129 points ahead of Bob Tasca III. Tasca fell to Hagan in the semifinals.
Notably, Hagan jumped from fifth to fourth in the standings, 153 points behind Prock.

Antron Brown continued to state his case for a fourth Top Fuel championship by defeating Doug Foley at zMAX Dragway.
Brown has taken over the points lead and holds a 53-point lead over Justin Ashley.
Shawn Langdon, who entered the event six points out of first, is now 62 behind after getting knocked out in the second round by teammate Doug Kalitta.

Following a win against title rival Aaron Stanfield, No. 1 Countdown-seeded driver Dallas Glenn has retaken command of the top spot.
Glenn holds a slim eight-points advantage over Stanfield with four races remaining. Six-time champion Erica Enders, who lost to Glenn in the semifinals, is 53 markers behind Glenn.

Six-time Pro Stock Motorcycle champion Matt Smith asserted himself into the points lead after knocking off Richard Gadson in the final round at zMAX Dragway.
Smith, who entered the weekend 17 points behind defending champion Gaige Herrera, now holds a healthy 25-point advantage over Herrera.
Herrera lost to teammate Gadson in the semifinals. Gadson, who is still searching for his first career victory in the category, is 27 points behind Smith in third.
