TMS Teams With John Force Racing

POWAY, Calif. — Titanium Metal Supply, Inc. (TMS) and John Force Racing Inc. have announced that TMS will be an associate sponsor of the race team starting with the 54th Annual Circle K NHRA Winternationals this weekend in Pomona, Calif.

This event kicks off the 2014 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series and will commence a three-year partnership between the two companies which both parties see as unique and productive in this fast-paced industry.

“We’ve been watching John Force Racing for years and are excited to establish a formal relationship with this legendary team in racing” said Todd Harrison, President of Titanium Metal Supply Inc. “There is no better place to start our involvement than the 2014 Winternationals, and we believe our titanium can provide the team with a competitive edge in this and future races.”

Being lightweight, strong and heat/corrosion resistant, titanium continues to be a highly sought after material in several racing series, particularly among the top contenders. Readily available inventory and access to product, combined with knowledge and passion for racing allows TMS to focus on and support this industry, which is typically neglected by most suppliers.

John Force Racing is a legend in the NHRA drag racing circuit, and their domination of Funny Car drag racing remains unparalleled over the past quarter century. The team enters the 2014 season with 18 previous championships and a 40 percent win rate for all events in the NHRA’s Mello Yello Series since 1989. Robert Hight, President of John Force Racing and driver of what many consider the most outrageous race car on the planet, the 320 mph Auto Club Ford Mustang Funny Car, has taken his car to more final rounds, won more races and started from the No. 1 qualifying position more often the last eight years than any other professional Funny Car driver.

“Our relationships with our partners are extremely important to us and we look forward to working with TMS from here on out,” said John Force, 16-time Funny Car Champion/CEO of John Force Racing Inc. “We are motivated by our new three-year partnership with TMS and will look to them to help increase the strength, speed and agility of our team and continue our winning approach.”
