GLENDORA, Calif. – Shawn Gann, a winner of five NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle events in a career that lasted 17 years, died May 16 at the age of 42.
Gann broke through for his first NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle victory in 2001. Riding his family-owned bike, Gann rode to victory at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
He later added wins at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park (2003), Illinois’ Route 66 Raceway (2004) and Colorado’s Bandimere Speedway (’04 and ’13).
His best NHRA championship finish was a third-place result in 2003. He finished inside the top-10 in the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle standings seven times.
