GENOA, Ohio – Advanced Product Design (APD) has announced an agreement with the National Hot Rod Ass’n that will make them a major contingency sponsor at all NHRA Mello Yello Series National Events, Lucas Oil Division Series events and JEGS Sportnational events.
APD will offer contingency postings for any carburetor or APD Pro Series conversion purchased within the last two years for the following categories: Pro Stock, Pro Modified, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street. Like the vast majority of NHRA contingency sponsor postings, APD will award NHRA national event (and Sportsnational) winning customers with $300, and runner-ups with $100.
APD equipped Lucas Oil Division Series winners in all seven NHRA geographic divisions will earn $100, with runner-ups taking $50 each. All told, the total APD posting for the 2014 NHRA season exceeds $90,000.
“We’re extremely excited to take this step as a major sponsor with the NHRA,” said APD’s John Kyle. “At APD we pride ourselves on manufacturing quality, innovative products for a variety of classes and forms of competition. The loyalty of our customer base has allowed APD to grow monumentally, and this contingency program offers us an incredible opportunity to give back to the competitors who support our company.”
