BARBERVILLE, Fla. — Kenny Wallace no doubt has his eyes set on the ‘Gator Championship’ race, locking into the big event’s redraw by winning his third UNOH DIRTcar Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment feature worth $1,000 on Sunday night.
“I’m humbled and this is really a dream come true for me,” said Wallace. “You should be excited when you win and I am! If you’re not excited you shouldn’t be out here racing. This is definitely a special Speed weeks for me because we are just rednecks out here living the dream.”
Wallace used his outside front row starting spot to maneuver past Sunday afternoon winner Ty Dillon en route to his third victory over the first six nights of UNOH DIRTcar Nationals by Summit competition. NASCAR veteran Kenny Schrader found his way around Dillon within the first five laps of the 20-lap event and held on to finish in the runner up spot.
Dillon finished third after starting on the pole. Michael Long held on to his fourth place starting spot as former UNOH DIRTcar Nationals by Summit champion Dave Hess, Jr., finished fifth.
