Sunoco Race Fuels will also sponsor the purchase of an electronic fuel hydrometer. This state-of-the-art tool is utilized to check the oxygen content that is in the fuel. Sunoco has also offered their expertise and full support to both RUSH Competition Director Travis Harry and RUSH weekly-sanctioned speedway tech officials in any and all fuel technical issues that may occur.
Lastly, Sunoco Race Fuels will be the presenting sponsor of the “Northern States Classic” Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series National Championship event, which will be held October 18-19 at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pa. Full details on this event will be released soon.
“I cannot tell you how pleased we are to have Sunoco Race Fuels become a major sponsor of RUSH,” stated Series Co-Director Vicki Emig. “I have had a great relationship with Sunoco representative Russ Bradford for over 15 years and believe that together with our regional promoters, we can begin to address the problem of the extreme cost of fuel that some of our racers are currently utilizing.
“Although we are not implementing a fuel rule, I believe we are taking a substantial step in the right direction by partnering with Sunoco and endorsing their Sunoco 260 GT Plus product,” continued Emig. “The selection of several RUSH/Sunoco authorized distributors for the Sunoco 260 GT Plus product will allow us to control and maintain consistent and reasonable pricing of this product to the racers in our region.”
