ELLISVILLE, Fla. — Ashton Winger earned $20,000 for his first XR Super Series dirt late model victory in Friday night’s Sunshine 50 at All-Tech Raceway.
Winger started fifth and took the lead from Mark Whitener on lap 28 and led the remainder of the 50-lap event.
Winger held off Tim McCreadie by 2.182 seconds for the victory.
Joseph Joiner, who was the fast qualifier for the 28-car field with a 17.503-second lap, finished third.
Jonathan Davenport and Whitener rounded out the top five.
Big-block modified kingpin Matt Sheppard finished 11th.
Saturday night’s XR Super Series finale at All-Tech Raceway will pay $40,000 to win.
