UNION, Ky. — Ricky Thornton Jr. got back on the horse and rode Wednesday night at Florence Speedway.
Thornton, who was stripped of a victory in Saturday’s Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway, won the Castrol FloRacing Night in America late model feature and earned a $23,023 payday.
Thornton took the lead from Bobby Pierce, who led the first 43 laps, and led the final seven circuits for his third series victory of the season.
It was the ninth overall feature win for Thornton this season.
Pierce came home second, with Jonathan Davenport, Tim McCreadie and Hudson O’Neal rounding out the top five.
