OCALA, Fla. — The United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series will feature at least 10 events this year in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.
The series will begin the 2011 season this Friday at Ocala (Fla.) Speedway before traveling to North Florida Speedway in Lake City, Fla., April 2. Events at Waycross (Ga.) Speedway April 16 and East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Ala., April 30 follow.
The series will then travel to Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Fla., for the fifth annual Ponce De Leon Classic May 14. The series returns to Ocala Speedway for the 16th annual Powell Memorial June 3 and the first round of the third annual Florida State Championship Oct. 14. A second trip to North Florida Speedway Oct. 15 will complete the Florida State Championship weekend.
The season finale at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Ga., Nov. 19, will follow a race Nov. 5 at an unannounced venue. As many as four races could be added to the schedule in the coming weeks.
