Scott Sexton Memorial Money Goes To Jimmy Owens

SEYMOUR, Tenn. – Jimmy Owens secured a $10,052 payday for his victory in Monday’s Schaeffer’s Oil Spring National Series and Valvoline Iron-Man Racing Series Scott Sexton Memorial at 411 Motor Speedway.

Owens ran down polesitter and early leader Randy Weaver to take the lead on lap 26. He led the remainder of the 52-lap distance, which ran caution free.

Weaver settled for second, more than two seconds behind Owens at the checkered flag. Ashton Winger, Dale McDowell and Mike Marlar completed the top-five.

The race served as the finale for Schaeffer’s Oil Spring National Series, with fourth-place finisher McDowell locking up the series championship.
