Rain Stops NeSmith Late Models Again


BRUNSWICK, Ga. — For the sixth straight race, Mother Nature washed out the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division on Thursday at Golden Isles Speedway.

The rained out Thursday night 30-lap $2,500-to-win show will be run on Friday morning with gates opening at 8 a.m., Drivers Meeting at 10 a.m. and hot laps at 10:30 a.m. Forty-two NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series cars were on the grounds ready to hot lap on Thursday night before the rains came.

The Friday night 30-lap $2,500-to-win race and the Saturday night 50-lap $2,500-to-win race will run at its regularly scheduled times of NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Pre-Race and Technical Inspection from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Drivers Meeting at 4:30 p.m. and hot laps at 5 p.m.
