Rain Stops CCSDS Late Models

CONWAY, Ark. — The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series presented by Lucas Oil has fallen victim to Mother Nature once again.

Due to saturated grounds and a wet forecast, this weekend’s events at Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) and Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, La.) have been canceled.
Officials are seeking potential reschedule dates.
“It’s almost becoming comical how rain is affecting us pretty much every time we try to race,” CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan said. “We hate it for the racers and the fans. We are looking at potential reschedule dates, and we’ll release details as they become available.”

With this weekend’s slate washed away, the tour now looks to next weekend’s annual Bad Boy 98 at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas). On Friday night, May 10 a $5,000 winner’s check will be on the line, while the program on Saturday, May 11 posts a whopping $15,000 top prize.
