Pierce McCarter Survives Hangover Attrition

SEYMOUR, Tenn. – Wheeling the MasterSbilt house car, Pierce McCarter held off Christian Hanger to win the super late model portion of the Hangover event on Saturday night at 411 Motor Speedway.

A day of rain on Friday created challenging conditions for drivers on Saturday, with the track proving to be as much of a challenge as the racing itself. As a result, only five of the 21 starters managed to finish the 50-lap feature.

Of those five, it was McCarter who got to the finish line first. He took the lead from polesitter Cory Hedgecock during a restart on lap 14 and would lead the remainder of the distance to collect the checkered flag and the $5,000 top prize.

Hanger settled for second, with Tommy Bailey, Drake Troutman and Jimmy Sharpe Jr. the only other drivers to complete the race.

Other winners Saturday included Kyle Haredy (crate late models), Zach Sise (sportsman), Wayne James (A modified), Reagan Williams (street stocks), John Stevens (vintage modifieds), Brad Seagle (economy late models) and Daniel Wright (mini stocks).

The finish:

Pierce McCarter, Christian Hanger, Tommy Bailey, Drake Troutman, Jimmy Sharpe Jr., Steve Stollings, Colton Profitt, Levi Ashby, Tyler Millwood, Jadon Frame, Daniel Richards, Cory Hedgecock, Dustin Linville, Matt Henderson, Johnny Cloer Jr., Craig Greer, Clint Hodges, Larry Barber Jr., Clay Coghlan, John Minon Jr., D.J.
