PENNSBORO, W. Va. — Racing returned to Pennsboro Speedway for the first time in more than 22 years on Thursday night and Bobby Pierce earned his 36th dirt late model victory of the season.
Pierce grabbed the lead from Devin Moran and led the final 19 laps to bank $10,000 on the opening night of the three-day Mason-Dixon 100 weekend.
Moran finished second in the event that was co-sanctioned by the XR Super Series and the United Late Model Series.
Nick Hoffman, Michael Lake and Eddie Carrier Jr. completed the top five.
Saturday’s finale will pay $30,000 to win.
