FORT WORTH, Texas – Brandon Overton controlled Saturday’s Texas Dirt Nationals super late model finale, easily taking home the $50,000 payday at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track.
Stormy Scott started from the pole and led the first two laps, but second-place starter Overton was in hot pursuit and blew by him to take the lead on the second circuit.Â
Devin Moran took a shot at Overton on the last lap, but his move failed and he faded to fourth. Bobby Pierce finished second, with Scott, Moran and Michael Arnold completing the top-five.Â
The $50,000 triumph for Overton is his fifth victory of the season that paid at least $50,000.
