Michael Page Gobbles Up $5,000 Payday

COCHRAN, Ga. – Michael Page inherited the lead from Michael McDowell and went on to win night one of the Gobbler 100 for super late models Friday at Cochran Motor Speedway.

McDowell dominated the first 25 laps, but a sour engine sent him pitside and handed the lead to Page on the 26th lap. Page would lead the remainder of the 30-lap distance to collect a $5,000 payday.

The race was originally scheduled for 40 laps, but was shortened to 30 laps by event organizers.

Austin Horton finished second, followed by Brandon Overton, Steven Roberts and Ahnna Parkhurst. Parkhurst was victorious in the companion crate late model feature.
