BULLS GAP, Tenn. — Nobody had anything for Dale McDowell in Saturday night’s 50th anniversary race at Volunteer Speedway.
McDowell started the 50-lap dirt late model main event from the pole and led every lap to earn the $50,050 top prize at the four-tenths-mile track.
McDowell led Mike Marlar to the checkered flag by 2.9 seconds in what was a romp throughout.
Bandon Overton, Donald McIntosh and Ricky Weiss completed the top five.
