GATLINBURG, Tenn. – Pierce McCarter is joining forces with Tader Masters and the Mastersbilt House Car team for a pair of Labor Day weekend events.
“Tader [Masters] and I were recently connected by a mutual friend in the sport, and we began talking about possibilities. We decided to join forces for a weekend and see how it goes,” McCarter said. “We have zero expectations, and we have zero plans past this weekend’s events. He and I both agreed that we need to take this on a race-by-race basis and then make decisions from there.”
McCarter enjoyed a strong start to the season in his family-owned McCarter Brothers Racing No. 71 Tennessee Homemade Wines/ Parkway Liquor Store Crate Late Model. On the heels of multiple strong runs, he clinched the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Winter Series championship in early March.
Since then, McCarter has raced sparingly due to a busy work schedule. He’s now ready to get back to action, and is excited by the opportunity in front of him.
“We haven’t raced near as much as I would’ve liked over the past few months because to be perfectly honest, we’ve just been too busy. After spending my days working the family businesses, it’s been hard to find time to work on the racecar in the shop at night. This opportunity with the Masters family could be a great fit for what I need,” McCarter continued. “Again, we have no expectations. We are going to go out, have fun, and see what happens from there. I’m just grateful for the opportunity.”
The team plans to test on Thursday at Tennessee’s 411 Motor Speedway before entering a pair of Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Super Late Model events in the Volunteer State this weekend.
