Martin Steals Ice Bowl Accolades


EASTABOGA, Ala. — Ross Martin made his way past fast qualifier Billy Ogle Jr. to score the biggest victory of his career Sunday at Talladega Short Track.

Martin earned $6,000 for driving his No. 47m dirt late model to victory in Ice Bowl XXII at the quarter-mile dirt track.

Ogle, who was the man to beat throughout the weekend, finished second.

Jason Wilson, Jason Hiett and David Brannon rounded out the top five.

Fifty-seven late models signed in for the event.
