ROSSBURG, Ohio — Mike Marlar and Hudson O’Neal claimed 25-lap feature victories on night two of the Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway.
Marlar started on the pole and dominated the opening event en route to a $12,000 payday.
Jonathan Davenport finished second, with Thursday-night winner Ricky Thornton Jr., Chris Ferguson and Kyle Strickler rounding out the top five.
Jimmy Owens was fast qualifier for the first group of late models.
O’Neal used a lap-10 restart to pass Tim McCreadie, who won one of Thursday’s features, for the lead and paced the final 15 laps for his $12,000 score. O’Neal held off Bobby Pierce who rode the rim around the half-mile track from seventh starting spot to finish second.
McCreadie, fast-qualifier Joseph Joiner and Brandon Sheppard rounded out the top five.
Davenport came out on top of Eldora’s Every Lap Matters points that set the field for Saturday’s Dream.
Ninety-six cars took time on Friday night.
