STUART, Iowa — Chris Madden bounced back on Tuesday night at Stuart Int’l Speedway for his fifth XR Super Series late model victory of the season.
After coming up short on Monday night, Madden raced past Bobby Pierce on the 27th lap to take the lead and led the remainder of the distance to bank a $20,000 triumph in a caution-free 50-lap event.
Pierce finished second, with Monday night winner Jonathan Davenport racing home third. Mike Marlar and Stormy Scott rounded out the top five.
Jimmy Owens was the fast qualifier for the 42-car field with a 12.550-second lap.
Madden leads Davenport by 52 points in the XR Super Series standings.
