LIST: IMCA Super Nationals Modified Champions

BOONE, Iowa — The 38th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s comes to a close Sunday with the crowning of the modified champion at Boone Speedway.

Iowan Mike Schulte was the first Super Nationals modified winner in 1983 and California’s Ethan Dotson is the defending champion of the prestigious event that attracts grassroots racers from across the country.

Boone native John Logue has won the event a record five times.

Traveling late model racers Ricky Thornton Jr. (2016) and Kyle Strickler (2014, ’15) are among the former Super Nationals winners in the modified division.

Logue, Strickler, Richie Gustin, Kevin Stoa, Mark Noble, Wayne Larson and Mike Frieden have won the event more than once.

All six nights of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will be broadcast live via SPEED SPORT TV affiliate IMCA.TV.
