SOMERSET, Ky. — Officials with Tazewell Speedway, the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series and Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals have decided to postpone the 3rd annual Lil Bill Corum Memorial.
The race was previously scheduled for Saturday, April 8, but will now take place on Monday, July 3.
The Lil Bill Corum Memorial will pay $21,000-to-win and $1,000-to-start.
With the forecast of rain and temperatures turning colder over the weekend, all involved parties felt it would be in the best interest of the racers and fans to postpone the event to the new date. All pre-entries are set and will be transferred to its new date. If any pre-entered driver cannot make it back for the makeup date, that pre-entry will be credited towards another event.
The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series will now open its campaign on Friday, April 21, at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky., with the Bobby Carrier Sr. Tribute event — paying $7,500-to-win and $500-to-start. This will also be the season opener of the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern Series.
