SOMERSET, Ky. — The second annual Leftover race will bring the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series and the Brucebilt Iron-Man Modified Series seasons to a close this Saturday at 411 Motor Speedway.
On Friday the track will host an open practice session to kick-off a big weekend at 411 Motor Speedway. The gates will open at 4 p.m. and practice laps can be taken from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Admission is $15.00 in the pit area for practice.
On Saturday the Leftover will feature the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series racing for 50 laps for $5,000-to-win and $450-to-start along with the Brucebilt Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Series, which will race for 25 laps for $1,200-to-win.
In addition Crate Late Models will race for $1,500-to-win, Sportsman will race for $700-to-win and the Modified Street class will race for $600-to-win.
Youngster Carder Miller leads the point standings into the final event over Levi Ashby, Joey Standridge, Jeff Neubert and Billy Ogle Jr.
Shon Flanary has a 22-point lead on the Brucebilt Iron-Man Modified Series over Blake Brown. Third place in the points is Zack Powers, fourth is Chris Kirk and fifth place is Jimmy Payne.
During last year’s exciting Leftover Dale McDowell captured the $5,000 payday over Jimmy Owens, Donald McIntosh, Jackie Boggs and Jason Hiett. K.C. Burdette took the $1,200 payday Modified feature.
