POCOLA, Okla. — Continuing the series with the intense on-track action of Tri-State Speedway, the Revival Dirt Late Model Series presented by Start2Finish TV would witness Justin Wells leading 23 of the 30 green flag laps on the way to claiming his first feature series victory in thrilling action.
Starting the second series night in Pocola, Okla. would see Joseph Gorby set the quick qualifying time of 16.066-seconds with Jace Parmley and Brett Hansen each earning heat race qualifier victories with Gorby attaining the high-point qualifier award by way of winning the pole shuffle dash.
Flying into feature green flag racing would find second-starter Wells out-duel Gorby out of the first pair of corners as Wells would shoot to the preferred position with the field calculating for spots behind the leader.Â
Captivating the capacity crowd, Wells would appear to be the cream of the racing crop early as night one winner Jon Kirby began to reel in the leader by using a wall-rubbing high side and eventually overtaking for the top spot. However, it was short lived as contact with the outside wall would strike the leader from the feature event.
Holding steady back out front, Wells would then hold off the fast efforts of Brett Hanson while the laps began to wane with outstanding action throughout the field sometimes going three-to-four wide for top-10 positions.
Earning his first career victory in the Revival Dirt Late Model Series, Wells would outrun sixth-starter and runner-up placement Kylan Garner to capture the feature win.
