Highland Summer Nationals Stop Rained Out

HIGHLAND, Ill. – With the race program already underway, heavy rain rolled in and forced Highland Speedway and DIRTcar Racing officials to call off Saturday night’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals “Hell Tour” and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals events.

The track and series officials will work to announce a date to complete the event.

On Sunday night, the grueling six-week summer series invades Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., where the pit gates will open no earlier than 3:30 p.m.

Brandon Sheppard continues to lead the Summer Nationals Hell Tour by 65 points over Bobby Pierce, who during the week became the youngest winner in the history of the popular summer series.
