SENOIA, Ga. — Wil Herrington earned his first Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals late model triumph Saturday night at Senoia Raceway.
Herrington started from the pole and led the first eight laps, but gave way to Ashton Winger on the ninth circuit. Herrington battled back and regained the top spot on lap 15.
From there, he led the remainder of the 35-lap event to claim the $10,053 top prize.
Ross Bailes started fourth and raced home third, while Parker Martin, Haiden Cowan and Payton Freeman rounded out the top five.
Mike Marlar was the fast qualifier for the 43-car field with a 13.803-second lap.
