SEYMOUR, Tenn. – Cory Hedgecock put on a clinic on Monday night during the Scott Sexton Memorial at 411 Motor Speedway.
Hedgecock started from the outside pole, took the lead on the opening lap and led the entire 52-lap distance to earn the $10,052 payday at the three-eighths-mile dirt track. The event was sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series.
His only major challenge came from Colten Burdette with a dozen laps left, but Hedgecock repelled him and pulled away to the victory.
Burdette ended up second, followed by Jason Hiett, Scott James and Kyle Hardy.
Heats were won by Dale McDowell, Hedgecock, Hiett and James. David Crabtree and John Ownbey won the two B Mains.
